Quarantine Survival Guide
With second lockdowns looming over Europe, and the possibility of it in other areas, I thought I would throw out some suggestions on what you may want to tryout. 2020 is such a weird year so far, hopefully you'll find some inspiration for stuff to do if you get bored.
Meditation
With 2020 being such a stressful, scary, and jaw dropping year, we could all use a break. There are many benefits to meditation. Making a habit of meditating can help you to be more present, benefit your mental health, assist in sleep, and help chronic pain. Many forms of meditation has been practiced throughout history, but it has only been clinically studied in the more recent years. Whether you meditate for an hour or five minutes, it may be worth trying.
Yoga-- with a Twist
If you usually do yin yoga maybe you can try out heavy metal yoga. Perhaps you usually do yoga alone, if you're isolating with someone, you could try out some couples/group yoga. Finally, if you're feeling adventurous, you may want to try out nude yoga (yes, it's a thing, haven't you seen Zootopia!?!). Whatever you decide to do, intense heavy metal yoga, or just staying in corpse pose 24/7, do what makes you feel good.
Take Care of Yourself & Others
Basically, I'm just hoping we, as in all of humanity, can take care of ourselves and treat people with kindness. A little kindness can go such a long way. Maybe you can challenge yourself to doing an act of service or kind act once a day. Serving others can make you feel better too! Being kind doesn't inherently cost you anything, but it can cheer you and someone else up and that, is priceless.
No matter what comes up with corona virus, just remember that you are surviving a global pandemic and these are unprecedented times; no one knows what they're doing either. Everybody is just trying to ride the wave back into safer waters. Breathe in, breathe out, you're going to make it! I believe in you!!!
