My Current Yoga Playlist

Updated: Nov 15, 2021

A lot of yoga playlists, especially in yoga studios, are rather boring and completely instrumental music. For my personal playlist I try to maintain a relaxed yet fun time. I also have a lot of variety for what kinds of music I have in it. Some are more pop, some indie, and a bit of popular music. A part of what inspired this playlist was my yoga teacher at my high school, she had a mix of instrumental music and lowkey pop songs, such as Sunflower by Post Malone and Swae Lee, so, of course, I had to add that song to mine as well.

Here are some examples of what you can find on my yoga playlist:

Siddhartha by Dead Emerson

Starting off with Siddhartha, the name in and of itself would be enough to add it to the list, but it is also a chill rock indie song with a nice beat. I really enjoy this song.

Imagine by John Lennon

A true classic that embodies both the “flower child” and hippie essence that is often paired with yoga and the Beatles.

Hunnybee by Unknown Mortal Orchestra

I’ve loved this song for a while now. It has a long instrumental introduction with a nice beat to it. Then the singing comes in so gently. The whole song is basically the audible representation of seeing honey drip slowly off of a honeycomb.

Slip Away by Perfume Genius

It's a beautiful song about self preservation in a more positive, upbeat way. Ultimately, the music and lyrics come together to create a meaningful, catchy, and altogether impressive song that I think fits well on the playlist.

I hope you enjoy my playlist, feel free to add it to your library. I'll keep adding songs to it as I continue my practice! Be sure to let me know what songs you like from the playlist:)
